TACOMA – Effective Jan. 6, 2007, donation stations in Bonney Lake and the Puyallup-South Hill area will move to two new locations in those communities.
The new Bonney Lake donation station will be located at 21509 State Route 410 East, across from the Safeway store. It was previously located at 20901 SR410 East.
The new Puyallup-South Hill donation station will be at Rainier Archery, 213th Street East and Meridian Avenue East. It was previously located at 176th Street East and Meridian Avenue East.
“We’re excited to start the new year at these great locations,” said Ken Lund, Tacoma Goodwill chief operating officer. “This is part of our ongoing effort to better serve our donors, who provide the gently used items we resell to support our job training and placement programs.”
The donation stations are open between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. For a complete list of donation sites or to check what gently used items Goodwill accepts, go online to www.tacomagoodwill.org and click on “Donate.” For additional information about the new sites, contact Elaine Brabham at Tacoma Goodwill, 253.573.1333 ext. 305.
In 2006, there were 840,000 drop-off visits made to Goodwill’s donation stations, located across a 15-county area in Western and Southcentral Washington. The donations led to retail and online sales that support Goodwill job training programs.
