TACOMA – New donation stations have been added in Shelton and Bonney Lake to make it easier for people to drop off gently used clothes and household goods that can be sold in stores Tacoma Goodwill operates.

“Donors are important participants in our mission to change lives by helping people with disabilities or disadvantages find work,” said Terry A. Hayes, Tacoma Goodwill CEO. “Donated items sold in our stores support our job placement and training programs.”

The donation stations are open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week and have attendants on duty. A complete list of donation stations is available online at www.tacomagoodwill.org and click on “Donate.” For additional information about new sites, contact Elaine Brabham at Tacoma Goodwill, 253.573.1333 ext. 305.

In Bonney Lake, the donation station is located at the Quik Mart, 21406 Highway 410. The station opened Feb. 26.
In Shelton, the donation station is located at Roosters Family Restaurant, 3001 Old Olympic Highway N. The station opened March 1.

In Puyallup, a donation site will open March 7 at the Triple Play Café & Recreation Center, 6805 176th St. E.

In 2006, there were 840,000 drop-off visits made to Goodwill donation stations, located across a 15-county area in Western and Southcentral Washington. Goodwill recycled 46.2 million pounds of clothes and household items last year.
