TACOMA – In a first-of-its kind partnership between Learning Curve Brands Inc. and Goodwill, children will be encouraged to give back to their local community.

The toymaker’s Caring Corners TM Mrs. Goodbee Dollhouse encourages charitable giving during the holidays in a fun, interactive way. The giving part comes when children fill the box the dollhouse comes in with gently used clothes and household items to give to Goodwill as part of a Carton of Caring program.

“Donations are a cornerstone to the job-training and placement programs that serve thousands of people,” said Terry A. Hayes, Tacoma Goodwill CEO. “Teaming up with the Mrs. Goodbee Dollhouse helps preschoolers become a part of our mission.”

When children donate their Carton of Caring, they will receive a Certificate of Appreciation from Goodwill Industries and earn a special online code that “unlocks” a Caring Corners Web game available only through donation. Tacoma Goodwill has 21 stores and attended donation stations across its service area.

Note to the Editor: Purchase and donation is necessary to participate in the program and receive Goodwill recognition and online codes. The Caring Corners Mrs. Goodbee Dollhouse can be found at retailers nationwide, including Target, Wal-Mart, and Toys R’ Us.
