TACOMA – A nonprofit providing business-to-business solutions with a focus on property maintenance, contract packaging and warehouse fulfillment. That’s what Tacoma Goodwill is doing with its new Go2Contract Services and Go2Property Services.

“Go2 is an exciting opportunity for Goodwill and a great single-source solution for businesses looking to handle the toughest challenges,” said Terry A. Hayes, Tacoma Goodwill CEO. “Our Go2 Services allows us to expand the professional services we can offer at competitive prices, all while meeting our mission to change lives by providing jobs to people in need.”

Go2 Services provides an experienced, efficient and focused workforce and takes advantages of the extensive background the agency has in preparing and operating retail locations and in the packaging and assembly of goods for nationwide distribution. Goodwill has been involved in providing different types of business services for more than 40 years.

Here’s what’s new with Go2 Services:

Go2 Property Services
Go2 Property Services provides total custodial, maintenance and care of business property – something Goodwill has done for decades. What’s new is having the expertise available for consultation in business site preparation and management.

In creating Go2 Property Services, Goodwill also combined its in-house maintenance services with its mission-based Workforce Development training effort. The result: highly motivated and trained staff handling projects managed as if it was our own property.

“We’re our own customer and pretty particular about how our property is maintained,” said Doug Sawyer, Construction and Facilities manager at Goodwill, which has more than 825,000 square feet of retail, warehouse and class-A office space across a 15-county service area. “We’re able to supervise the work to ensure customer satisfaction.”

Plus, noted Sawyer, customers have the knowledge they’re changing lives through jobs. For information, call 253.627.7660 or go online to www.go2propertyservices.com.

Go2 Contract Services
Go2 Contract Services has the expertise to handle practically any packaging, assembly or shipping requirements, said Beth Dahl, Business Operations manager. With its location close to the Port of Tacoma, Go2 has more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse space available.

An extensive truck distribution system not only assists in Goodwill’s retail and recycling operations but provides transport for local commercial customers, Dahl said.

“By outsourcing to Go2, businesses save space and labor costs while their products are prepared in a secure facility,” she said. Clients for Go2 have included Brown & Haley, Shasta and Tim’s Cascade Chips, among many others.

For Shasta, Goodwill solved distribution of “Rainbow” cases of soda to major retailers. The work involved repackaging multiple flavors of soda into a single case. The company turned to Go2 and Goodwill to handle the challenge.

“Go2 is a very reliable and efficient support source for some of our unique business complexities,” stated Tim Reckard, plant manager of Shasta Beverages in Tukwila. “Our entire team at Shasta feels privileged to be able to support the worthy efforts of Goodwill in a mutually beneficial way.”

Beth Dahl noted that Go2 Contract Services’ clients include food and beverage products, games, greeting and holiday cards, wrapping paper, roofing and building materials. For information on Go2 Contract Services, call 253.627.7660 or go online to www.go2contractservices.com.
