The GoodGuides Mentor Coordinator is a new position made possible by a grant to Goodwill from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The position’s establishment and continuance may be dependent upon on-going grant funding. The essential functions of this position will include communicating effectively with parents/families and mentors and engage them in activities related to GoodGuides. Perform orientation and training for all mentor, parents and youth. Perform all mentor match screening. Supervise all mentor matches and report to program manager. Coordinate and implement mentoring services, including match support, supervision, conflict resolution, and recognition, based on current research of best practices. Monitor partner operations to ensure compliance with MOU’s. Qualifications: Experience with volunteer/mentoring programs preferred, Experience with at-risk youth, Excellent oral and written communication skills and Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel. $15-16.83/hr DOE.
