The Goodwill ‘Donate Movement’ launches today which emphasizes the positive benefits of donating on the environment and on our communities. Donating to Goodwill helps divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills to reuse and resale in Goodwill stores. “Your donated goods have the power to make a difference in people’s lives, strengthen communities and create a healthier environment.” – donate.goodwill.org/about/

Goodwill International’s web page gives you the opportunity to calculate your impact by donating. Go to http://donate.goodwill.org/ to run various calculations and see how your donation makes a positive impact on people. You can see what your donation provides to the community in terms of job training or at the bottom of the page you can see the enormous number of pounds of goods that are being diverted from landfills by donating to Goodwills around the world.
