School was never easy for Michael. “I’ve struggled with a learning disability my entire life,” he says. Despite his challenges, he earned his diploma and enrolled in classes at a local community college but was unable to get the skills needed to find a long-term and reliable job. He continued to struggle to find a job, so Michael came to Goodwill to learn a trade and gain the experience he needed to succeed in the job market.
He decided to enter the Custodial Skills Program offered at Goodwill with the goal of working in the custodial field. Since entering and graduating from the program, he has learned valuable skills that will help him to reach his long term goal of one day working for the State or Federal government.
Michael is proud of his accomplishments and looks forward to the future.
