Tony had spent most of his life doing a variety of different jobs that were all very physical and hands on. After going to work for a friend who had started his own plumbing business, Tony realized that the work was really taking a toll on his body. He decided to go back to school where he could work on developing his computer skills. The first place he looked into was Tacoma Community College but what he found was that he would have to wait for two quarters before he could enroll. A lady at the front desk suggested that he check out Goodwill. He knew that he needed to become more proficient on the computer to some day have a career rather than just a job.
He made the call and spoke to Aaron in the Computer & Office Skills program who told him that there was a new course starting soon. He was amazed at how quickly everything happened.
Today, Tony has graduated and was recently offered a position here at Goodwill. He is looking forward to the future.
